PUPS – Prevent Unwanted Pets is a 501(c) 3 non-profit organization that was established in 2003. Our mission is to assist people with the spaying and neutering of their pets if they can’t afford to do it on their own in order to decrease pet overpopulation. The veterinarians in 7 counties west of Houston assist us by doing the surgeries. We are not a shelter.
PUPS has spayed or neutered 4,583 dogs and cats as of July 2009. Our income for 2008 was $66,950.02 and our spay/neuter expenses were $69,017.27, or $5,751 per month.
We survive on public donations. We do not receive any local, state, or federal funding. All donations to PUPS are tax deductible. 100% of all donations are used for spaying and neutering. Our board of directors pays for all overhead expenses. Please help us continue our mission and donate today!
